KALIBO RANKED 1ST AT REGION VI-WESTERN VISAYAS MUNICIPALITIES COMPETITIVENESS INDEX

Kalibo ranked 1st out of 509 entries at the Region-VI Western Visayas Municipalities Competitiveness Index as awarded by the Department of Trade and Industries (DTI) at the most awaited Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index (CMCI) Award ceremony.

With the hardwork and determination of its local officials and citizens, DTI pedestaled Kalibo as 1st place at Regional rank and 15th place at National rank based on population and income weighted average of overall scores of municipalities under a province, also with the sum of their scores on 5 pillars such as Economic Dynamisms, Government Efficiency, Infrastructure, Resiliency and Innovation. Kalibo is followed by the municipality of Malay at 2nd place for Regional rank and 29th place at the National rank.
