𝗡𝗩𝗖'𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗨𝗠 𝗣𝗨𝗕𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗚𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗡𝗦 𝗧𝗘𝗔𝗠 𝗦𝗣𝗜𝗥𝗜𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛 𝗧𝗘𝗔𝗠-𝗕𝗨𝗜𝗟𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚

The Forum Publication of Northwestern Visayan Colleges held a team-building activity yesterday September 7, 2024 at the Aklan Sports Complex, Calangcang, Makato, Aklan bringing together student staff members for a day of games, discussions, fun and personal growth.


The day kicked off with introductions to be led by Wilfred Paller, a youth leader from Pulong ng Kabataan, introduced himself to the Forum Publication staff. This was followed by a set of games, including The Boat is Sinking, Shape Shifting, and Message Relay. These games encouraged the participants to work together, communicate effectively, and trust one another, with students actively engaging in the friendly competitions.

After the games, Paller delivered an insightful discussion on the deeper meaning behind the activities. Using The Boat is Sinking as an example, he explained that people come and go in our lives, and it is important to cherish the moments shared with others. "Enjoy the moments with your friends while you can," Paller emphasized. He also spoke, about the importance of listening to each other's thoughts and feelings within the team, stressing that "all emotions are valid." He encouraged the staff to foster a supportive environment where everyone's voice is heard, which he said is crucial for effective teamwork. Furthermore, message relay, highlighted the significance of clear and truthful communication. Paller used the game to illustrate how crucial it is to ensure the accuracy of information before passing it on, drawing a parallel to how a team should function in an organization. Lastly, Paller concluded the event with a set of final remarks, reminding the team that effective communication and mutual respect are the foundations of a strong organization. The staff members left the event energized and equipped with new insights on how to better collaborate within their team.
