𝐀𝐊𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐎𝐍 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐓𝐇 𝐆𝐄𝐓 𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐎𝐖𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐒𝐘𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐎𝐆𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐋 𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐖𝐓𝐇 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐃𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐋𝐎𝐏𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓


Young people from different municipalities of Aklan attended a seminar entitled "PAGTATAP: NURTURING THE HEART AND MIND OF AKLANON YOUTH" yesterday, August 29, 2024 at the Nenette's Garden, Roxas Avenue Extension, Andagao, Kalibo, Aklan. It was a joint effort between the Provincial Government of Aklan, the Aklan Provincial Youth Development Office, and the Aklan Provincial Human Resources and Management Office.



The comprehensive forum started with Ms. Maharanee Briones from the Provincial Human Resource Management who presented her talk "All About Self: Understanding Mental Health, Self Awareness and Stress Management." There, she discussed about the significances of having a healthy mental well-being for every Aklanon youth. For the afternoon session, Mr. Joshua Aaron Consemino, from the Provincial Government of Aklan, gave his lecture "Personality Development: Unlocking Your True Potential." There, he tackled the importances of having self-confidence, self-esteem and having self-awareness for every youth. He also ended his presentation with the quote "Fake it 'til you make it". Furthermore, Ms. Jean Telic Barawel, from the Provincial Government of Aklan, presented the significance of having good communication skills and projecting or presenting oneself publically. She also explained the factors that would affect good communication with one another, such as assertiveness, confidence levels and cognitive biases. The event concluded with an awarding ceremony where the participants who excelled the most during the conference were given various recognitions and awards. And lastly, certificates and souvenirs were given to all the participants of the seminar. The event aimed to empower Aklanon youth by equipping them with essential psychological tools and personal development skills necessary to navigate the challenges of modern life, contribute positively to their communities, and lead meaningful lives.
